We are so lucky to have the Reach High Scholars organization to help our students with their future plans. In addition to a club that provides time for them to ask questions and assistance with college resumes and applications, this group helps students with college visits, searching out scholarship opportunities, and provides much needed support. The process for applying to schools beyond high school can be daunting. Students may not have anyone who understands how it "works" and this is an opportunity to get advice and practical help. Our students make decisions throughout their high school years that may affect their goals and future plans. With the Reach High Scholars, students do not need to do this alone.
Their website: http://reachhighscholars.org offers an amazing amount of information about everything from "tips to preparing for college" to "SAT scores" to "acceptance rates" for many colleges. If you thought college is not affordable or would not work for your child, this site may help lead the way. Check out the varied "tabs" along the top of the home page for informative, meaningful material.
I would encourage everyone to access this web site and have your children look at it, too. There are many, many avenues to our students' futures and this could be one of the most important web sites you visit.

Changes to Bus Routes
The Green Road Bridge will be closed to traffic beginning June 8, 2015 due to construction on the bridge. Many of our families will be affected by this with changes to their bus routes. The "Purple Bus" (for middle school and elementary school) and the "Blue Bus" (for high school) normally cross this bridge and will be unable to do so. This situation has had a domino affect on some of the other buses and times. Please check your child's bus below to see if you are affected and if any times will change. Dail Transportation bus drivers will also be handing out letters to those families that are impacted. Thank you for your patience as this hectic time of year has just become a little more challenging! We hope that all construction will be over by the time school begins in August so that things will be back to "normal".
